Today, we proudly recognize senior Christopher Shannon, Jr., who has dedicated 11 years to the game of football!
For Christopher, football has been a part of growing up. From his early days on the field to his senior season wearing the blue and gold, those 11 years represent countless practices, Friday night lights, friendships, and memories that will last long after his final game. Playing Linebacker, Center, and Guard, Christopher has experienced the game from both sides of the ball.
Christopher's accomplishments extend well beyond football. He is a member of the National Technical Honor Society at Eastern Westmoreland Career and Technology Center, where he studies automotive technology. Outside of school and football, he enjoys clay target shooting, hunting, and fishing.
Following graduation, Christopher plans to pursue a future in the skilled trades, with UTI College among his plans. When asked who he admires most, he named his uncles, Paul Koontz and Austin Clark, two important influences in his life.
Christopher, after 11 years of football, you're taking more than memories with you. You're taking the lessons, friendships, and experiences that come from growing up with the game. Thank you for your years of dedication to Trojan football. We wish you every success as you trade your football helmet for the tools of your future!
