Ten years ago I decided I was tired of how I looked. I was tired of my 120lb skinniness being a punchline in school. I was tired of being the frail one in the friend group. I took a leap and joined the weightlifting class. The "coach" encouraged the class to harass and bully my friends and I for joining. He told one of the football players helping me "wasn't worth [his] time".
After I quit the class I kept lifting after school. The football team was constantly heckling me during my sets encouraged by the same "coach". I was made fun of for benching 65lbs for barely 12 reps. At one point it got to be too much and left the gym for some weeks. I told myself I had to return because the gym will change my life if I push through the adversity.
I stand here today to tell you that the work is worth it. But you have to not only want it, you must attack it. You must need it. You can't half-ass attempt to accomplish your goals. You must chase them with a monastic frame of mind. One goal, to improve yourself. I have 10 years of experience under me with many decades ahead. I guarantee if you are willing to put in the work, then we can create results. If you or someone you love wants to reclaim their body and their life you can reach out to me for results based training.

Do you have older loved ones that need to get moving again? I have been working with seniors for over 4 years now, and as of today I am a certified Senior Fitness Specialist. Basically, I have a paper to back me up now. Your typical hobby trainer at the big box gym is not well equipped to assist those in our families that need specialized help. Conditions like osteoporosis, arthritis, hypertension, stroke, COPD, and diabetes are difficult to navigate, and I have worked with them all. I am the personal trainer that will happily communicate with your doctor, physical therapist, other healthcare professionals in your life to do what YOU need!

Do your loved ones live in a Senior Living Facility and notice their fitness classes are the typical "chair yoga" workouts? Same thing every week? Team Temple Training has the solution your loved ones need. While chair yoga is great for some, it's not great for all, maybe even most. I have worked with many retired individuals and seen drastic improvement in balance, coordination, strength, mobility, and so much more. Let your facility know that they need group training from Team Temple Training.

You owe it to your friends, family, country, and God Himself to NOT skip leg day.

I want to make videos for Temple Training with Garrett McFarland CPT but making online content especially as a personal trainer is CRINGE. Ill do it eventually. I'm much better at TRAINING than INFLUENCING. If you need help getting started, I'm here for you. I promise YOU ARE WELCOME at this gym.

How can I help you achieve your goals? Fitness isn't just about big muscles and slim waists. How can I help you feel CONFIDENT about your current abilities, your potential, and your physical appearance? Life is too short to not like your body that you've been graciously given. Let's work together to find that self love and appreciation!

I theorize that gym attendance has increased due to its social media status through memes and 'looksmaxxing' culture. While more people in the gym is a great thing, you need to consider "why am I going to the gym?" Ensure your priorities are for self betterment, not for trend nor self punishment. With so much social media content on the gym, how do you know what truly works? I am here to help clear the fog. I have been in the gym for almost 10 years now, helping clients achieve their goals for almost 3 years. I have seen their results, and I have seen my own personal results. Let's build your temple!

Gen Z loves the gym. That's a big problem for gyms.
Gen Zers are crowding gyms with their love of weightlifting and hanging out. America's gyms aren't ready for the swolest generation.
