Today in the United States we celebrate Memorial Day, which is a time to honor and remember all of those who have fallen while serving our military. We are grateful for all of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country. Our prayers are for the families who are left behind, and never got to see their loved one return home safely. Thank you to all of those who currently serve and put your life in harm's way to keep us safe.

Pay everyone what you owe him: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due. (Romans 13:7)

OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN….

Rockford Illinois Police Department K-9 Nyx was shot and killed in the line of duty this afternoon while protecting her handler. She selflessly and courageously gave her life for her community.

K9 with U.S. Border Patrol gets hero's send-off after years of service A U.S. Border Patrol K9 based in Orlando has reached the end of her watch, and thanks to a national non-profit, she will be given a send-off worthy of her service.
