Rails Boys’ Swimming

At the bottom is the first Rails team record as a coach. I had a few as a swimmer…but this is way better.

Hoping for many more. Especially, getting that E. Johnston guy off the board (his name is too close to mine).

This team has been awesome. One meet left. Can’t beat getting to swim at the U of Iowa. Should be a fun weekend.

I missed one of the podium pictures. Great day for the boys at Districts today! Almost all best times and some huge time drops.

4th place team finish (two top-5 teams and a top-10 team).

Five events at State next weekend:

Keegan Kraft in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke,
Brayden Plourde in the 100 freestyle,
200 free relay and 400 free relay (Brayden Plourde, Blake Bennett, Dax Hughes and Keegan Kraft).

Oh…and a new school record in the 400 free relay!

If you tell the boys you’ll get a Lincoln tattoo if they beat Roosevelt…well…this happens…

Our boys had a pretty good day at our Conference meet today. We didn’t win…but we are really happy with 2nd place. It’s been a long time since the boys beat Roosevelt.

Great Saturday in Cedar Rapids Washington iInvite! 3rd place overall finish and I let the kids pick their events. Two 1st place finishes, a second place finish and more podium finishes (top-6) than I can count. Boys swam so well they got Buffalo Wild Wings after the meet.

Great bunch of boys! Great families! Fun season so far. Now the stressful part begins.

These boys had another win in Ottumwa last night. The guys are putting together a great season!

Rails boys are off to a 6-0-1 start this season. Thursday evening at Ottumwa and next Tuesday is Senior night at Lincoln at 5:30pm. Come watch us try to go for an undefeated season!
