🔗 Link in bio 🔗 UM f*ed things up… they don’t care about us!

Last year, Syre was scheduled to receive gender-affirming surgery through the University of Michigan. Because He had another surgery earlier that year, we had already met our out-of-pocket maximum—which meant this surgery would have been fully covered. We had a plan. We had hope. And then UM canceled it. Just like that. Only a month before the surgery- after a 2 year process- cancelled.

They do not care about trans people. UM made the choice to stop providing care for trans youth before they were required to—preemptively complying before being forced. That decision told us everything we needed to know about how disposable our community is to institutions like them when things get politically hard. After the cancellation and this announcement, we are no longer comfortable receiving care from them.

So now, instead of care close to home, we are traveling all the way to Colorado—for a month at a time, twice—so Syre can receive the gender-affirming care He deserves. We’re paying down a whole new out-of-pocket maximum, covering flights, housing, food, time away from work, and all the costs that come with leaving our home state because the systems that were supposed to care for us decided not to.

Opening reception for QUEERTROIT was amazing! I exhibited the original pages of my zine- with zines available for donations. As well as Silence = Death prints. Loved ‘s banjo and voice! And here are some of my fav pieces from , and others! Love love love!

Dropped the original pages of my zine, 50 copies of the zine (thank you, .us ) and some “Silence = Death” prints at this weekend! So excited for the opening on Friday! Will I see you there!? Come through!

I’m excited to share that I’ll be joining RISE Therapy Services as a therapist starting in early June.

My work is rooted in liberation, pleasure, and connection—supporting LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, kinky, and otherwise marginalized folx in building lives and relationships that feel aligned and genuinely theirs.

I’ll be seeing clients in a hybrid format and am currently building a waitlist ahead of my start date.
