Moments like this are why Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the frontrunner to repeat as MVP this season.

It’s one thing to lead the league in scoring, but it’s another to chase down the tallest player in the NBA and erase his shot at the rim during a high-stakes divisional showdown. 💪❌

Oklahoma City Thunder was rolling like a machine.

25–2 entering a matchup with Minnesota, looking untouchable, looking inevitable.

Then one night changed the energy.

That Timberwolves game got loud as Chris Finch got ejected, later fined $35,000.

OKC lost, and they haven’t looked the same since.

Since that moment? The Thunder are just 5–5.

Over their last nine games, they rank 26th in free-throw attempts per game.

For a team built on pressure and pace, that’s a noticeable drop.

So it’s fair to ask the uncomfortable question. Did that night change OKC’s whistle?

Because whether coincidence or consequence, the numbers say something shifted.

Atlanta’s starting to feel it again.

When Trae Young and Jalen Johnson are on the floor together, the game opens up, and the Hawks look like themselves. One guy draws all the attention, the other makes the right play every time.

Even though some recent bumps, this duo is something the Hawks can believe in.

“Me and Jalen had a connection since the beginning of last year,” Trae said.

“If you double me and I'm able to throw it to Jalen, he can make plays out of the double team or in the middle of the pocket and find others. That's the name of the game.”

It’s simple basketball, played the right way, and it keeps everyone involved.

The best part is they know it’s only getting better.

“I think everybody is excited to get Trae back,” Johnson said. “We’re just going to keep building with each other, keep getting our chemistry together, and keep getting the reps.”

More time, more trust, more wins.

The Hawks’ path forward starts with Trae and Jalen growing together.

I mean if you been watching this makes the most sense lol

We have an abundance of talent.

Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports that Trajan Langdon and the Pistons are entering the trade deadline focused on improving the team without mortgaging the future.

"He's ruthlessly consistent in the invisible spaces... It's no accident that he’s the player that he is. He's literally chiseled himself into this player."

Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander reaching his 100th consecutive 20+ point game.

I’m just happy they brought up Kobe’s 12 all defensive teams!

Steph isn’t top 10 yet. Those spots are locked.
Magic and Bird saved the NBA.
Wilt owns the record book.
Russell has rings for days.

Kobe was elite on both ends—12 All-Defense. Steph has zero.
Shaq was pure dominance—three straight Finals MVPs.
Duncan? More rings, more Finals MVPs, 15 All-Defense.

Steph is the greatest shooter ever. No debate.
But cracking the top 10 means pushing out a legend—and that door’s still closed. 🔥🐐
