I remember it like it was yesterday!

Weekly call with an online athlete of ours getting ready to head into college football training camp for the first time. Couple highlights:

1️⃣ Unexperienced coaches decrease weight and increase or maintain reps leading into important time frames. This is the worst thing you can do, adding stress to the athlete. Lift heavy for the smallest amount of reps possible
2️⃣ Sprint Mechanics: you will not become quicker over night, but working on small mechanics will increase speed quick
3️⃣ Attack the day: your eyes will be wide open soon, attack the day and do your best!

Training looks different, but the objective is the same.

Protect. Provide. Set the standard for my family.

I was in a bad place dude… and im not talking about it from the other side, I am in the middle of it!

More good days than bad days now, but the fights not over. Just like addiction, we have to continue to do the work or we will slide back into our old ways.

Just like many of you, I just want to be a super hero to my family. And in the season of life we are in right now, here are the things that move the needle in that direction:

Pray hard 🙏🏻
Lift Heavy 💪🏼
Shoot Often 🏹
Spend time with the family 👶

So that’s what we are gonna do.. even if we don’t want to! ✌🏻
