Providence Christian Varsity Eagles battled back in a big way to defeat Northside Methodist Academy 14-7 on Tuesday.

After falling behind 4-0 early, the Eagles responded with an explosive bottom of the first inning, scoring 10 runs on eight hits to take control of the game, 10-4.

Addison Russ led the offensive charge, driving in four runs on three hits. Russ delivered the biggest hit of the inning with a bases-clearing single and added another RBI single later in the game.

Providence Christian finished with 14 hits on the night. Alyse Deer, Emma Lane Duke, and Ella Kate Duke each recorded multiple hits to help power the Eagles offense.

In the circle, Taylor Creel came in strong in relief, pitching five innings while allowing just two hits and one run. Creel struck out seven and walked two to help secure the win. Ella Kate Duke started the game for the Eagles, striking out three over two innings.

A huge first-inning comeback and a strong all-around team effort lifted Providence Christian to the 14-7 victory. πŸ¦…πŸ₯Ž

The Providence Christian Varsity Eagles pulled out a thrilling 10–9 victory over Pike County on Friday in a high-scoring battle. Providence racked up 13 hits on the night to secure the win.

The Eagles got on the board early in the first inning when Alyse Deer doubled to bring in the first run. In the second, Ella Kate Duke added to the lead with an RBI single to make it 2–0. Emma Lane Duke kept the momentum going in the third with a big home run to center field, driving in two runs.

Providence sealed the game in the top of the sixth inning, flipping the momentum with five runs on three hits to take a 10–5 lead. The highlight of the inning was a clutch double from Carlee Smith that drove in two runs.

Ella Kate Duke earned the win in the circle, allowing five hits and four runs (none earned) over 3.2 innings while striking out six. Paige Smoak and Taylor Creel both came in to help in relief.

The Eagles finished with 13 total hits. Carlee Smith and Addison Russ led the way with three hits each, hitting back-to-back in the lineup. Deer, Smith, and Duke each drove in two runs. Taylor Creel added two hits, while Braleigh Tolleson swiped two bases.

Next up, the Eagles return to the field Saturday, March 7 for a doubleheader β€” taking on Dale County at 10:00 AM and New Brockton at 4:00 PM.
