ATTENTION!!!!

Parents the JV players will need to be picked up at Carver 9 today. Normal afternoon transportation.
We will not be able to transport the players over the high school until the second semester.

JV Baseball Players will be bussed over starting tomorrow during 4th block. JV players will be picked up from the Boys Athletic Complex at 3:05 Monday Through Thursday. They will need athletic clothes and shoes Monday, Wednesday as we will be in the weight room. Tuesday and Thursday they will need their baseball gear as we will be on the field or in the cage hitting.

2026-2027 Baseball tryouts!! All varsity football players will tryout after their season. Dpa and Jv football players will be able to tryout August 29. Must have a physical!!

The Dothan City Schools Board of Education approved the appointment of Grant Roberts as the next Head Baseball Coach at Dothan High School during its July 14, 2026 meeting.

A former Major League Baseball pitcher and experienced coach, Roberts brings nearly three decades of baseball experience to the Wolfpack program. A graduate of Grossmont High School in El Cajon, California, he was selected by the New York Mets in the 11th round of the 1995 MLB Draft, Roberts played professionally from 1995 to 2004.

Following his professional playing career, Roberts transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant coach at Rehobeth High School under Larry Tubbs before joining Wallace Community College, where he coached alongside longtime Head Coach Mackey Sasser. Roberts also helped lead Dothan Post 12 to the 2011 Alabama American Legion State Championship. Throughout his coaching career, Roberts has emphasized player development, accountability, leadership, and building meaningful relationships with student-athletes.

His commitment to mentoring student-athletes and helping them grow as leaders makes him an excellent fit for Dothan High School,” said Dr. Garrick Askew, Superintendent of Dothan City Schools. “We are excited to welcome him to the Wolfpack!”
