You can rebuild a lot of things in this life. Be careful you don’t have to rebuild what people believe about your character.

This season has already brought plenty of ups and downs, but through all of it, we’ve had some pretty great people and businesses standing behind us.

Jake has learned a lot in the first half of the season — about the car, about racing, and about pushing through the nights that don’t go exactly as planned. Now, we’ve got both the 14 and 18 on the track, and we’re looking forward to finishing this season out strong.

We’re incredibly thankful for the ones who believed in us from the beginning and just as thankful for those who have recently stepped in to help us keep doing what we love.

Racing takes a whole lot more than what you see on Saturday night, and every bit of support makes a difference.

A huge thank you to:

We appreciate every one of you for being part of this season and part of TJ Motorsports.

Still plenty of racing left. We’re just getting both cars rolling. 🏁

August 29 | Senoia Raceway

Another Saturday night in the books for the 14 and 18.

We started the night trying to swap carburetors on the 14, but ran into a leak in the process and ended up washing out a plug. That had the car skipping through qualifying, but thankfully it finally started clearing up toward the end of those laps.

The 18 had a good qualifying run, but lost the clutch. We got that taken care of before the feature and were able to get him back out there.

Come feature time, the 14 battled being tight on entry most of the night but kept digging and brought it home P9.

The 18 was running good until the car started getting hot around lap six. No sense hurting something trying to finish a race, so we brought it in early and ended the night P13.

Not exactly the night we were hoping for, but that’s racing. There’s always something to chase, change, or figure out — and we’ll be back in the shop doing just that.

We’ve got a couple weeks before we’re back at Senoia Raceway September 12. Between now and then, we’ll get the carburetor swap finished, work on the handling issue with the 14, and keep hunting for a little more speed in both cars.

Two cars. Two drivers. Plenty to work on.

We’ll see y’all September 12.
