Free sports physicals this Saturday being assisted by SOVAH. All physicals must be turned in by August 9th to participate in Cross country this year.
No conditioning today due to severe thunderstorms. We will see everyone on Monday for conditioning and parent meeting.
August 1 we will have our conditioning at 3:30 but will also have a parent meeting at 4:30 on the cafeteria. We will discuss expectations and schedules and any other questions you may have.

On Tuesday, the Trojan Cross Country team traveled to Smith River complex and came out in dominating fashion.
The guys took 9 of the top 15 spots. With all of them earning a new personal records.
Senior Charles Hearp lead the way with a time of 16:56. Breaking the previous school record of 16:59. Behind him was Jackson Snow(5), Ben Barnett(6), Nik Hearp(7), Azael Quintero(9),Edwin Diaz(11), JC Gonzales(12), Grayson Harris(14) and Ethan Howell(15).
The ladies took 5 of the top 15 spots. Also with all of them earning new personal records.
Senior Sophie Hearp bested the field with a time of 20:53 to win it for Tunstall. Followed by Abby Eades(3), Brittany Dalton(9), Madison Walton(14) and Briana Quintero (15).
The Trojans will travel to Smith River again to compete for the Piedmont District title.
The Tunstall Trojans Cross Country team traveled to Martinsville Hogh School today for a Piedmont District race. Senior Charles Hearp lead the way for the boys on a dominating performance running a personal best of 17:14 to help the boys win the meet.
Senior Sophie Hearp won just as easily as the girls won by a narrow margin claiming the second win in a row for the girls.
They will travel to Smith River Sports Complex to complete in the next Piedmont District race next Tuesday.
The Tunstall Trojans traveled to George Washington HS today in a Piedmont District race. All course records were broken today as Senior Charles Hearp beat the course record of 19:01 set in 2019 by Ashton Weaver, with a time of 17:27. Nikolas Hearp finished 7th, Edwin Diaz 10th, Ben Barnett 11th, Azael Quintero 12th and JC Gonzalez 13th.
Senior Sophie Hearp also slashed the course record of 22:47, held by former state champion Emily Wallace with a time of 21:38. Abby Eades finished 3rd, Brittany Dalton 8th, Madison Walton 11th, Makiah Tarpley 13th and Briana Quintero 14th.
Tunstall swept the competition winning both events. Nearly every runner had personal best times.
Yesterday the Tunstall Trojans Cross Country team traveled to Halifax to compete in a Piedmont District race.
Senior Charles Hearp won the boys event. Rounding out the top 15 were Jackson Snow(7th), Ben Barnett(9th), Edwin Diaz(11th), Nikolas Hearp(12th) and JC Gonzales(15th).
Senior Sophie Hearp finished 2nd in the girls event. Rounding out the top 15 were Abby Eades(6th) and Brittany Dalton(12th)
The boys are looking to continue their Piedmont District Title run as they won yesterday event. The Trojans will travel to GW next Tuesday.

The race for tomorrow has been relocated to Edmunds Park in Halifax. Boys race at 5, girls will follow at 5:45.

Second race of the season at Patrick county. Charles Hearp finished 1st, Nikolas Hearp finished 12, Edwin Diaz 13th and Ben Barnett 14th. Sophie Hearp finished 2nd, Abby Eades 6th and Brittany Dalton 14th.
First race of the season was the Southsode Invitational at Anglers park. Senior Sophie Hearp finished first with Abby Eades finishing 7th. The boys finished second overall with Charles Hearp finishing second. Nikolas Hearp finishing 7th, Jackson Snow 10th, JC Gonzales 13th and Greyson Harris rounding out the top 15.

Hello everyone! It’s almost that time to start conditioning for the upcoming 2021 fall season. Looking to start conditioning, two days a week starting the week of July 5th. Will update the exact days when we get closer. Looking forward to the next season.
The Trojans traveled to Smith River Sports Complex for the 3D Regional race. Our team is a family, and we wanted to celebrate the life of one of our Tunstall High School family as we dedicated this race to this young man. (Everyone wore his name on their jerseys) Ashton Weaver finished 9th and Charles Hearp finished 11th in our region. As for the Ladies, Sophie Hearp was the top finisher with 16th place in the region. Very proud of these runners this year as they gave it their all. Sad to have so many seniors graduating, but they will move onto better things. Looking forward to next season as we will start conditioning in July. Thanks to everyone for their support of the program and to these special athletes.
This is the format for our Region 3D race to be held next Thursday.
Tunstall XC traveled to the Smith River Sports Complex this afternoon for the Piedmont District Championship. The ladies had a hard fought battle and finished in the runner-up spot. The guys took home first place to WIN the Piedmont District Championship and the FIRST EVER District Championship for Tunstall Cross Country. Congratulations!!! 🏆🥇🥈
Second race of the season. The rain made for a muddy mess but this team is determined to not let anything stop them. The boys won the meet with several new personal best times. The ladies finished a close second, also with several new personal best. Onto next week, when we race our final home race of the season. Come out and support your Trojans and the 8 seniors on the team as this will be the last time. Race date is March 23 at 4:30.

Today the Tunstall Trojans XC team brought it home. Tunstall won the meet overall with the boys holding 10 of the top 15 spots and the ladies with 8 of the top 15 spots. So proud of everyone on this team and everyone that could attend to cheer us on. Win-1 Loss-0. Next race is at Smith River Complex on March 16, 2021.
Tomorrow is the day! Come out and support your Trojans for the home opener for cross country. Remember to social distance and you must wear a mask. Boys race at 4 and girls at 4:30. See everyone there!
