Please note that participants must have current United States Judo Association, United States Judo Federation, or USA Judo membership.this can be obtained from each of their websites, available on the linked pages.

Students who are exemplary in their demonstrations of jita kyoei (mutual welfare and benefit), have competed in at least four judo shiai outside our dojo, and make a regular habit of competing will be eligible for the black phoenix feather to wear on their gi.

Governor's Cup Judo Tournament 2026 Tournament will be held at 2337 230th st. Ames Iowa March 7, 2026. Check in and on site enteries 8:00 to 9:00am for Senior divisions and weigh ins for Juniors and Kata at 12:00pm to 1:00pm March 7th. Referees meeting will be held at 9:30am. This is good for youth 7 and up along with adults.
Youth class is Tuesday 6:30-7:30
Adult class is Tuesday 6:30-8:00 and Thursday 6:30-8:30
