Break the Bank 50 mile

Anyone have the "wonder what to do next" feeling now that they completed Grandma's Marathon on Saturday?

You might want to check out Break the Bank to help fill that void.

A big welcome to Kyle Smith from Duluth who lives near the finish of Break The Bank and runs on the Munger almost daily. He has run one ultra (back in 2009) and 33 marathons.

He is also our 90th solo runner to register!

Former Nebraska/NAU standout George Kusche won the Comrades Marathon in South Africa today.

He’s gotta have some of the best range in the sport:
800m- 1:47.45 (high school)
Mile- 3:57.74
5000m- 13:28.95
Marathon- 2:13

Now he’s won a 53-mile ultramarathon. We need to get him to beat the American Best at Break The Bank!

Last year's men's winner and 2nd overall, Jeff Miller, ran 124 miles at the Fans24 race this weekend good enough for...2nd place again.

Fantastic distance and add in the weather and Jeff's age of 61 and that is just a stellar finish. We look forward to what Jeff will do at Break The Bank this year!

Nathan Hoftiezer of Appleton, WI went sub-3 in a marathon and now, as he has never run an ultra, is looking forward to the next challenge.

We aren't saying that the flat course with the lovely downhill at the end of Break The Bank will help you set a world record, but we aren't NOT saying that!
