The new Cherry Hill Path is officially open — and it’s already being put to good use. Thanks to City of Dunwoody - Government for continuing to invest in these quality of life, multi-generational projects!
This past Sunday, a group of about 35 residents gathered for a ribbon cutting and informal community ride to check it out. The mix of walkers, riders, families, and neighbors gave an early glimpse of how the space will be used going forward.
Projects like this often seem small on a map, but their impact shows up in how people move — and how they interact. A short connection can change routes, create options, and make everyday trips a little easier and more comfortable.
Thanks to Dunwoody Police Department for being present on bikes and helping keep things running smoothly, and to Piccola Pizza for supporting the event with food for participants.
The Cherry Hill Path adds another piece to Dunwoody’s growing network of local connections — linking neighborhoods and expanding options for getting around outside of a car.

Bike Walk Dunwoody
We hope you’ll join us! From Safe Routes to School, to going out for an errand, meeting friends, heading to a park, getting to work.
Bike Walk Dunwoody is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to making it safer, easier, and more attractive to walk & bike for fun, fitness, and transportation. We're all about working with 8 year olds to 80 year olds in being able to safely bike or walk a couple of miles in getting around our hometown. It's all about family friendly options, choice and a safe and welcoming community.

Today we remember Ed Mc Brayer, co-founder of the PATH Foundation. He passed away today, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of advocacy, vision, and persistence that helped shape hundreds of miles of trails across metro Atlanta.
Long before trails were widely embraced, Ed understood that strong advocacy is what turns ideas into reality. His steady leadership and commitment over decades helped build the foundation that so many communities benefit from today.
His legacy lives on in every path, every ride, and every step taken across our region—and in the ongoing work of advocates continuing to move it forward.
We are grateful for his lasting impact.
