Race Recap.

🇺🇸 🏁 Flag day is one of Grahams favorite nights of racing because the fans get to come onto the track and collect hero cards, autographs and other goodies from the drivers and he gets to answer their questions! The highlight for him was the on track interview with the Eagle River Speedway announcer Joe Verdegan!

Heat race Graham started P4 and finished P3. Feature started P2 and finished P3, led a couple laps early on and then settled into 3rd running consistent laps.

It’s race day! Rain moved out bluebird sky’s and rainbows. Great night for racing!

🏁 Race Recap! Tuesday, June 9.

Graham started and finished both heat and feature without any rain interruptions. The heat he started 3/3 and finished P2. For the feature he started on the pole and finished P3 almost ending on his lid coming to the checkered flag. The entire race was very close between the 3 cars and all being almost bumper to bumper coming into turn 3 on the last lap. Graham drove it deep into 4 going a little high into the loose stuff and got squirrely then saved it. These cars don’t like to turn right and tip easily. You could see Graham gaining confidence every lap driving it harder into and out of the corners.

The goal we have set is for him to be full throttle and on the rev limiter the entire way around the track with focus on keeping momentum in the corners making him drive a good line around the track, then eventually give him more speed with that gained confidence. If you were watching and listening you could hear his car “popping” at about the flag man, that is the rev limiter which means that’s as fast as the car is geared to go, he should be able to keep that popping the whole way with a good racing line.
