Karen Parker (KP) and I had such a good time today at the Round Up to Wellness in Abilene! 🏀
We met so many wonderful seniors, shared lots of laughs, and—best of all—connected with several ladies who want to learn more about Granny Basketball®!
We came to Abilene hoping to plant a few seeds, and it looks like they just might be starting to grow!
We are SO EXCITED about what the future holds for Granny Basketball® in Abilene!

It took a lot of hands, a lot of hours, and a whole lot of teamwork! 🤝🫶👐
Building our Granny Basketball® float was about more than signs, decorations, and rocking chairs. It was about working together, laughing together, and sharing a vision.
Every piece told part of our journey, and every helping hand made it possible. This is what TEAMWORK looks like!
Together we built a float…and made some pretty great memories along the way.

SWEEPSTAKES WINNERS, y'all! 🏆🐸🏀

The Eastland Old Rips brought home the Open Division sweepstakes trophy at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo Parade in Abilene, and we did it in true Granny Basketball fashion, chanting the whole route down. "We don't jump and we don't run, dribble twice and pass the ball!"

This float was pure joy from start to finish. Our gals cheering, dribbling, and shooting from the trailer while the whole crowd got to see what Granny Basketball is all about. Proud doesn't even cover it.

We are Eastland! Go Rips!

Good evening, we have had an outstanding day!!! We were in the West Texas Fair and Rodeo Parade today. We won Sweepstakes in our division, which is better than first or second 🤗. Then we played an exhibition game there in Abilene against Cowtown Heifers. (We Love the Heifers)🐄 We won, ( we understand that if their full team was there it would have been a different story.) We even loaned them 2 players..... but we had a lot of fun AND, we have some real interest there. We are anticipating at least one new team in Abilene this year. STAY TUNED for more pics and videos from today. But for now, here is a pic of our Sweepstakes banner and our group pic of All the Grannies. (And referees)
