I am slowly starting to get back into the crafting world. I have loved making these custom embroidered baby sweaters! 👶🏼

married my best friend on may 25 and am so glad i can show off the project i’ve been working on for months.

i knit each of my bridesmaids a pair of socks to wear our wedding day. 🧦 it was a labor of love and there was a point in time i didn’t think i would get them all done but loved how they turned out! 🧶

several years ago i got the opportunity to travel across alaska with a bunch of soil nerds. a few years ago, one of them reached out with a request for a custom beanie that i just couldn’t say no to. hence, the spodosol beanie was born 😍

spodosol: a soil of an order rich in aluminum oxide and organic matter, typically characterized by low fertility

my name is jamie & i started up jlknits about 4 years ago after graduating college. i am a self-taught knitter & crocheter of about 5 years and have loved this crafting journey so far. i’ve met so many wonderful people & learned so much about different fibers & techniques! 🧶

long time, no post 🙊

this time last year i was busy with market prep & craft fairs. i did better than expected, sold out of most things, and then got so busy with wedding planning, other hobbies, & just life that I didn’t spend much time working on yarn stuff 🧶

i also found that i was forcing a lot of posts & wasn’t genuinely enjoying what i was posting, so ended up falling off the social media planet 🫠

anyways, i still don’t have much in stock & i’ve been working on some personal projects. but as we approach the holiday season i wanted to share this pattern i wrote last year (my first pattern ever!) because it makes for a quick, simple, customizable gift for the holidays. link in my bio! 🔗
