And just like that… our FIRST WEEK of Fall/Winter classes is in the books! 🩰🎉

The studios were filled with music, movement, smiles, reunions, new faces, lots of learning, and SO much CAPA energy this week! From our littlest dancers stepping into class to our returning dancers getting right back to work, it feels so good to have our studios full again. 🥹💕

To our dancers — we loved seeing you walk through those doors ready to learn, grow, create, and DANCE! ✨

To our families — thank you for trusting us with your dancers and for being such an important part of our CAPA community. 💖

And to our teachers & assistants — thank you for bringing the energy, encouragement, and CAPA magic into every classroom!

💖✨ DANCE HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: ISADORA DUNCAN ✨💖

At CAPA, we don’t just teach our dancers how to dance — we believe in teaching them the history behind the art they love. 🩰📚

Understanding the dancers, innovators, and movements that came before us helps our students appreciate how dance has evolved and inspires them to become part of its future.
This month, we’re spotlighting Isadora Duncan (1877–1927), a pioneering figure in the development of modern dance. Often called the “Mother of Modern Dance,” Duncan challenged many of the traditions of classical ballet and embraced a freer, more natural approach to movement.

Known for dancing barefoot, wearing flowing Greek-inspired costumes, and drawing inspiration from music, nature, and emotion, Duncan helped redefine what dance could look and feel like. Her approach helped open the door for generations of modern dancers and choreographers who followed. ✨

At CAPA, dance education is about more than learning steps and choreography. It’s about understanding where dance has been, how it has evolved, and how each new generation of dancers can help shape where it goes next. 💖

💖✨ BIG DREAMS. BRIGHT FUTURE. ✨💖

The CAPA staff is officially READY for a brand-new Fall-Winter session! 🩰✨

We came together for our staff meeting to connect, plan, prepare, and get inspired for everything ahead. And this year, we added something NEW! 💭✂️💕

For the first time, our staff created vision boards together, filling them with the goals, words, ideas, and inspiration we want to bring into our studios and classrooms this session.

From teamwork, progress & leadership to confidence, positivity, hard work & FUN, our boards gave us a chance to dream big and set our intentions for the months ahead. 💖

And now…the planning is done, the vision is set, the studios are ready, and there’s only ONE thing missing…OUR DANCERS! 🥹🩰💖
