After 12 years, the run has come to an end…
12 years ago, I started a Trunk or Treat with one simple goal: bring the community together and show that there are still people and businesses willing to give back.
I can proudly say we were one of the first Trunk or Treat events in this area, and over the years it grew into one of the biggest.
But times change. Communities change. And sometimes, even the things we love have to change with them.
It’s a sad day to announce that the NEPA MMA Trunk or Treat has been canceled.
We completely understand that the time, money, candy, decorating, and effort that goes into participating has become harder and harder for families and businesses to support.
I wish we could simply supply all the candy, all the trunks, and all the fun ourselves, but unfortunately, that just isn’t realistic for a small business.
Over the years, we did everything we could to keep this tradition alive.
COVID didn’t stop us.
Rainstorms didn’t stop us.
Changing locations didn’t stop us.
For 12 years, we found a way.
So for now, this is simply a thank you.
Thank you to every family, business, friend, student, parent, and community member who ever decorated a trunk, donated candy, volunteered, showed up, or supported one of our community events.
You helped turn these events into a staple of NEPA MMA, and I’ll always be grateful for that.
But if you know anything about me, you probably already know this isn’t the end forever…
I’ve already been working on ideas, solutions, and collaborations for 2027.
And if you run a Trunk or Treat and want to collaborate, need help putting one together, or just want another set of hands involved—reach out.
I never did these events for me.
It was always about the kids.
It was always about the families.
It was always about the community.
Thank you for an incredible 12 years.
See you guys in 2027. 🫡
