LAST PICKUP OF THE MORNING! 🐶🚐😂

And just like that…

THE GANG'S ALL HERE.

If this looks suspiciously like a bunch of preschoolers getting picked up by the school bus in the morning…

that's because it basically is. 😂

Except these kids have fur.

One house.
Then another.
Then another.

Gate opens.
Dog comes flying out.
Jumps into the van.
Greets all their friends.

And off we go. 🐾🚐

For about nine years, this has been the morning routine at Dog Gone Smart PlayCare—and I swear, some of these dogs know the pickup routine better than humans do. 😂

They know when it's PlayCare day.
They know the van.
They know where we're going.

And most importantly…

THEY KNOW THEIR FRIENDS ARE ALREADY ON THE BUS. 🥹❤️

Basically preschool.

But furrier.
And with significantly more barking. 😂🐶

On play care days we pick up and drop off the dogs. Jasper here lives outside of our Tuesday route so his mama meets us at an easier location. She captured his excitement when he spotted the van and knew is play day had arrived. Couldn't love this anymore!!!

We love you Jasper and love you love us back!!!

🐾🔥 OKAY, DOG GONE SMART FAMILY… YOU’RE GOING TO WANT TO SEE THIS. 🔥🐾

One of the questions I knew my dog-loving people would ask me was:

“Can these patches be used with our dogs?”

Check out this experience shared about 14-year-old Otis. 🥹🐶❤️

His owner says she looped the patch around his collar and noticed a HUGE change in how he was moving — from hobbling on the stairs to standing with his legs fully extended and even moving up the stairs at a moderate pace.

As someone who has spent more than 24 years caring for dogs, anything that may help support an aging dog’s comfort and mobility absolutely gets my attention.

And you KNOW how much I love our senior pups. ❤️🐾

This is one individual pet owner's experience, and every dog is different. If your dog has arthritis, pain, weakness, or a change in mobility, please involve your veterinarian in their care.

But if you have an older pup and you're curious about what these patches are and how people are using them with their dogs…

👇 Comment DOG and I’ll send you the information.

It's not just morning soaks. Leo also enjoys a good spa nap before bed also.

Let's all welcome Black Lab puppyhead Abe to Tuesday play care. Of he integrated seamlessly into play care and was bounding in the pool within minutes of entering the play yard.

Welcome Abe we love you already!

Anyone else have a dog that dives. EmmyLou here is one of our regulars for boarding and play care but had no clue she had morphed into a mermaid. Go Emmy girl!!!

Happy Saturday from Leo the spa-soaking Frenchie. 🐾♨️😂

No thoughts. No responsibilities. Just soaking, supervising, and living his best damn life. 😎

Apparently Saturdays are for self-care. 💦🐶

It didn't even occur to me until moments ago that I had not shared some very sad news. Trying to distract myself I think. 😭Myself(Jen) and family lost our Ruby girl on her 10th birthday. Thank you God for holding up your 10 yr bargain with me. She developed what we think was a sudden heart condition that presented like a liver issue and basically went downhill before answers could be determined. She went peacefully at home in Greg Davies arms.

She loved so many of your fur babies and did pretty well hanging with the big dogs. Rest assure those who have her pals that are already at the bridge she is rallying them with the play care deets.

Ruby you made the Davies small dog lovers. We will miss you until we meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.
