If you can debut your new car and have this type of weekend, sign me up!
You expect to get some oohh’s and aahh’s with your new car when you bring it to the track for the first time, but what Rock Haas did this past weekend at the NHRA Route 66 Raceway was amazing and certainly deserves all the recognition he gets from his performance. His driving ability highlighted the capabilities of his new Don Davis Race Cars chassis, with speeds of nearly 180 mph in time trials, but slowing considerably in the elimination rounds when necessary. The braking power and control of these cars is awesome, Rock says. With an average reaction time of .014 over 8 passes and consistent 60’ over four days put him in the winner’s circle!
DDRC, well known for its dominating SG roadsters, is still continuing to evolve and improve on the chassis to make them even more competitive. Most recently there have been improvements to the design which allows for traditional bracket racing.
These changes can be retrofitted to an older DDRC chassis. With the higher HP motors now, it was time to make an adjustment for this.
These advancements lead to the recognition by NHRA for which Rock received the Best Engineered award this past weekend as well.
These types of weekends don't come often, congratulations to Rock and his team for an exceptional weekend.

We built a roadster just prior to the winter that is starting to show up at the track. The car owned by Rock Haas features the quality components from manufacturers such as Strange Engineering, Simpson Race Products, Advanced Product Design, Penske Racing Shocks, Moser Engineering, MSD Performance, Aeromotive Fuel Systemse, Racepak, and Pro 1 Racing & Safety Products. This car has all the bells and whistles. Performance has been strong right from delivery. If you are around the Route 66 Raceway check it out.
It's the ORANGE one!
Call to discuss your next roadster.
