We’re making calls for Rob Menendez for Congress!

Immigrant families have uplifted New Jersey’s economy and been part of our communities for years. Yet, Trump’s ICE has been terrorizing families since he took office, tearing them apart across our districts.

As loved ones continue to disappear into cruel, for-profit ICE jails like Delaney Hall and the Elizabeth Detention Center, Robert Menendez Jr, has been at the forefront of the fight to shut down these private detention centers.

Robert Menendez Jr. has pledged to abolish ICE, close ALL ICE jails, and put an end to mass deportation. He is also fighting to protect DACA and TPS recipients and to create real solutions for our immigration system, including a pathway to citizenship.

We’re proud to endorse Union County Commissioner Lourdes Leon and Union County Commissioner Michèle Delisfort for the Union County Board of Commissioners!

Lourdes and Michele were 2 of only 3 Commissioners who acknowledged the serious risk that a jail for auction poses to our community.

In 2025, they took meaningful action to oppose Trump’s mass detention and deportation agenda by denying Trump the resources he needs to carry it out. Lourdes and Michèle have committed to investments in housing, mental health services, and community infrastructure.

🚨BREAKING: In a landslide victory, Analilia Mejia for New Jersey has been elected to Congress in NJ-11, becoming the first Latina to represent the district.

Against the backdrop of masked ICE agents’ brutal attacks on immigrants and U.S. citizens alike, Mejia ran on an unabashedly pro-immigrant platform. The daughter of immigrants from Colombia and the Dominican Republic, Mejia drew attention for conducting regular ICE watch trainings, and for joining grassroots efforts to aid detained immigrants at Delaney Hall, the largest ICE jail on the East Coast.

Make the Road Action helped deliver a decisive win for Mejia. Since December 2025, Make the Road Action members have engaged thousands of voters, making 151,571 phone calls and knocking on 18,160 doors. Throughout this massive outreach effort spanning four months, voters expressed strong support for Mejia’s platform: abolish ICE, healthcare for all, billionaire and corporate accountability, affordable housing, and lower utility and grocery prices.

We look forward to ushering in a New Jersey alongside our new Congresswoman where we guarantee the rights and protections of all people including immigrants, strengthen our shared economic and civic life, lifts wages, and counter corporate exploitation.

En un contexto marcado por los brutales ataques de agentes enmascarados del ICE —dirigidos tanto contra inmigrantes como contra ciudadanos estadounidenses, Mejia basó su campaña en una plataforma abiertamente proinmigrante. Hija de inmigrantes de Colombia y la República Dominicana, Mejia captó la atención pública por organizar capacitaciones periódicas de vigilancia del ICE y por sumarse a iniciativas comunitarias destinadas a brindar asistencia a los inmigrantes detenidos en Delaney Hall, el centro de detención del ICE más grande de la Costa Este.

Make the Road Acción contribuyó decisivamente a asegurar la victoria de Mejia. Desde diciembre de 2025, los miembros de Make the Road Action han interactuado con miles de votantes, realizando 151,571 llamadas telefónicas y tocando a 18,160 puertas.
