Update: Gold Creek Commons
Save the date- Public meetings listed below:
Over the course of spring and summer, active Cimarron residents participated in three important meetings regarding the proposed Gold Creek Commons development. The first was a community discussion at the library, followed by a second resident meeting at Cimarron Park, where neighbors shared concerns, priorities, and feedback. The third meeting was between a small group of residents and the developer, where we presented the community's feedback and discussed potential refinements to the proposed PUD.
Thank you to everyone who attended, asked questions, and shared their perspectives. Your participation helps ensure that our community's concerns are heard and considered by the developer, the Town of Elizabeth, and Elbert County.
Moving forward, it is important that residents remain informed, engaged, and active throughout this process. Key community priorities—including responsible growth, meaningful water conservation, privacy protections, and a future Road 13 connection to address traffic concerns—will continue to shape our discussions. Upcoming Town and County meetings will provide additional opportunities for public input, and community participation will play a critical role in the outcome. The more residents who stay involved, attend meetings, and make their voices heard, the stronger our collective voice will be.
