⭐️Illinois Bombers 12U Gold - Medina⭐️

As we prepare for our first season under the Bombers Fastpitch banner, we are evaluating a limited number of roster opportunities for the 2026-27 season.

This team is built around a core group of returning athletes who have competed together at a high level and are committed to the work required to continue growing. We are looking for a small number of like-minded players and families who value development, competition, accountability, and being part of something bigger than themselves.

Roster opportunities will be filled by direct invite and evaluated through private workouts. All inquiries will remain confidential.

If you believe your athlete would be a strong fit for our team, please contact us directly or complete our interest form and request a private evaluation for 12U Gold.

Red dirt. Tough games. Best competition in the country. 🔥🥎

The girls are headed to Columbia, TN for the Tennessee Mojo Music City Invitational - our final PGF Super Select event of the season.

Huge shoutout to our parents for another weekend spent chasing this game with us. The miles, the planning, the sidelines, the support…we don’t take any of it for granted.

Now let’s go see what we’re made of. 💥

One day they’re tiny humans with bows bigger than their heads and dirt on their knees…then suddenly they’re out there competing, growing, learning, and becoming young women right in front of us.

These moments go so fast. The long weekends, the car rides, the postgame talks, the laughter in the dugout…this is the good stuff.

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms who get to love these girls through every season of life. Thank you for every sacrifice, every cheer, every hug after a hard game, and every memory being made along the way.

Hold onto it all. 🩷🥎

Mother’s Day weekend at the ballpark and we wouldn’t have it any other way🩵🖤🥎

Our girls are staying close to home this weekend and back at it against a tough 16-team combined 11U/12U field. Another opportunity to play up, compete hard, and keep growing. Pool play kicks off Saturday with 3 games before bracket play starts Sunday.

And while we’re excited for the softball…this weekend is also about celebrating the moms behind it all.

✨The early mornings.
✨The packed coolers.
✨The endless laundry.
✨The car rides, pep talks, ponytails, snacks, and support that never seems to run out.

Our moms are the glue behind this team. The steady voices, role models, and biggest supporters behind every girl that takes the field. The love, sacrifice, and energy they pour into these athletes does not go unnoticed.

We’re incredibly lucky to have the very best behind our dugout every weekend. 🩷🩷

Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all our softball moms, we appreciate you more than words can say.

The game will humble everybody eventually. The girls who keep growing are the ones who learn how to respond instead of retreat.

Greatness isn’t mistake-free (love that)! 🩵🖤

Watching the SEC Tournament (and every other postseason game) is your reminder…

Even at the highest level:
Pitchers walk in runs.
Hitters strike out with the game on the line.
Balls get dropped.
Pitches get missed.
Home runs get given up.

Mistakes happen. Even on ESPN.

The difference?
Those athletes know how to bounce back.
They’ve learned to reset instead of unravel.

And THAT is what sets them apart.

So if your daughter makes a mistake this weekend—remind her:
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about how she responds.

Yes, we train hard.
Yes, we work to eliminate those mistakes.
But we also give ourselves grace—
Because greatness isn’t mistake-free.
Greatness is learning how to move through the hard stuff.

Happy 11th Birthday to Annie! 🥎🎉

Annie may be the youngest on our team, but you’d never know it with the maturity, confidence, and game IQ she brings every time she steps on the field. She’s a competitor through and through and plays the game the right way.

Off the field, Annie keeps everyone laughing with her sarcasm, goofy personality, and elite-level friendly chirping.😂 She brings a big smile and positive attitude every single day…always willing to learn, ask questions, and jump into whatever role the team needs.

Most importantly, Annie is just a great kid and the kind of teammate every team hopes for. We’re proud to coach her and even more proud to call her part of this group.

Hope you have the best birthday, Annie! 🩵🖤

Happy Birthday to Coach Lou Simios! 🎉🎂🥎

Behind so many of the swings, breakthroughs, and confidence boosts in our program is this guy right here.

From voiceover breakdown videos, to team instruction, countless lessons and conversations…Coach Lou pours an unbelievable amount of time, knowledge, and heart into these girls. The work he does behind the scenes never goes unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from him every single week.

But beyond the softball side of things, Lou simply cares. About the kids, their growth, their confidence, and helping them become the best version of themselves on and off the field. That’s what makes him special.

Thank you for everything you do for this program and these athletes. We appreciate the endless energy, passion, and love you give to the game and to our girls.

Hope you have the best birthday, Coach Lou! 🩵🖤🥎

Flush it. Fix it. Fight for the next pitch. 🥎🩵

This new wave of travel ball athletes… I’m seeing a whole lot of “poor me” the second it doesn’t go your way. Strikeout? Meltdown. Error? Head drop. One bad game and it’s like the world ended.

I’m gonna be real with you—that s**t is soft.

This is a game built on failure. Not sometimes… all the time. And the faster you stop acting surprised by it, the faster you actually get better.

Because yeah… when you’re CRUZIN? Everyone’s loud. Everyone’s smiling. Energy’s high, you feel like a superstar, and life is good.

But who are you when it’s not?
When you’re 0-for.
When you just gave one away.
When nothing’s clicking and you feel it creeping in your head?

Don’t be the one dragging the whole dugout into your spiral. Nobody needs that energy.

Pressure will mess with you. It’ll have you overthinking, doubting, questioning everything you thought you had figured out. That’s the game.

But mentally tough athletes? They’ve already decided—they’re gonna be good regardless. Before the result even shows up.

So what’s your plan when you struggle?
Who are your people?
What’s your reset?
What are you telling yourself when it gets ugly?

Because it’s real easy to go full victim mode and pull everyone down with you. Don’t be that teammate. Straight up—nobody respects it.

I lived it. In OKC, I started 0-for-11 before hitting a grand slam in the semis. You don’t think I felt pressure? Of course I did. But I knew my role. I wasn’t about to let my struggles at the plate bleed into how I showed up everywhere else. I flushed it and kept showing up. That’s what competitors do.

This game will expose you. Especially in today’s pressure-packed youth sports world.

So breathe. Pause. It ain’t life or death.

Then step back in and go attack the next pitch like you’ve got something to prove.

Proud of you. Keep grindin.

________

I get asked all the time how to build this mentality in the circle and I’m so passionate about the work. This comes through hard work because the game knows. I’m going to be working with 20 athletes starting in August and you can be one of them.

Drop SAVAGE in the comments if you wanna raise your standard with me.

Big time addition to the Illinois Bombers 💣🔥

The caliber of athletes joining this program is exactly what raises the standard for everyone, especially our younger teams who now get to see it, train in it, and compete alongside it 👀💪

And even more exciting…having Goat Fastpitch - Coach Josh Hays leading pitching development 🥎 His ability to teach, connect, and build confidence in athletes is elite.

Iron sharpens iron.

Built Different. Built Together. 🩵🖤
