Community Cypher Arts

Our Track A students at Stone Lake Elementary really showed us what it means to be a community.

We spend every class working hard on this: cheering each other on, being present for our teammates, and creating a safe space to take risks and be yourself.

This culmination was proof of our work.

This month we began our residency at Edna Batey Elementary School in Elk Grove, bringing our Hip Hop Dance program to around 834 K–6th grade students.

Through movement, rhythm, and creativity, students are learning dance foundations that align with California VAPA Standards while also building physical fitness, coordination, and confidence.

We’re also excited to launch our first After School Program, giving students who are passionate about dance extra time to train, explore, and grow.

We’re grateful to be part of this community and look forward to continuing to learn, move, and grow together.

is back at Stone Lake Elementary School, bringing the Art of Breaking (popularly known as Breakdancing) to students once again! 

This year, 16 classes of 3rd–6th graders will dive into Hip Hop and Breaking history, culture, and movement. Students will not only learn foundational dance skills, but also practice creativity, collaboration, self confidence and communication on the dance floor.

Excited to guide them on another year of growth and expression!
