The dedication and talent it takes to make it to this level is no easy task. These athletes are diving in strong D1 programs and are THRIVING. We are so proud of each of them and can’t wait to see all that they accomplish this year on the boards and in the classroom!!

Hobie Billingsley, who helped create one of college sports’ greatest dynasties, dies at 94 He coached at IU from 1959-89, winning six NCAA and 23 Big Ten team titles. Billingsley’s divers won 115 national titles and seven Olympic medals.

Congratulations and best of luck to our EUDC divers who swept the four top places at Sectionals yesterday to advance to Tuesday night’s Regional competition at Valparaiso High School. The top eight competitors there will advance to Saturday’s IHSAA State Championship meet in Indianapolis. We could not be prouder of you all!!💙💦

We had champions and runners-up on the boys’ and girls’ sides 1st place Nick Hardy of Elkhart High School and 2nd Reid Omilian of Culver Academy; 1st place Claire Feick of Culver Academy and 2nd place Ryleigh Robinson of Concord!! Shout out to Caden Hodge of Goshen HS, 5th place and Mathias Vanderzwaag of Elkhart HS, 7th place!!

Claire is also a recent Villanova University diving commit- Congratulations to Claire!!

Huge Congratulations to Lindsay Gizzi as she finished in 10th place today on 1 meter, 16-18 division at Zone C Championships to qualify for Nationals!

Congratulations to Landon Martin who placed 12th today in the 12-13 division 1 meter!

Elkhart United Diving Club Is offering beginner diving classes in July! Thursdays- July 1, 15, 22 and 29 from 5-6 pm for grade 3 through high school. Cost is $30. DM this page for more info!

One of our lifeguards and Elkhart Central High School graduating senior, McKade Nielsen, was hit by a car while riding his skateboard on Greenleaf Blvd on Friday night. His best friend, Blaine Fisher, was also hit while riding his bike and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our hearts go out to the Fisher family, and we are keeping McKade in our prayers for a full recovery from a fractured skull and multiple injuries to his body and to the unseen trauma injuries to his body and mind.
