The most satisfying reverse balayage. Karly wanted to tone down her super blonde balayage that had become mostly all blonde on the ends and too separated at her root area. So I pulled up the blonde around her root with some painted highlights (balayage) and pulled down her natural through the ends. (Which is the literal perfect brown if I might say.) Something about that last picture just makes me feel all warm inside!! 🤩

Love a good dark haired beauty with baby blues. So striking!! We colored over her balayage she’d maintained for a couple years and dove head first into the dark haired club! …with a little dimension of course 😉. So many ways to be brunette!

Would you believe me if I told you we were coloring her hair black at the roots last year!? Miranda took every step to make sure she could transition to a lighter color every appointment and with realistic expectations! I always say slow and steady wins the race. Does wearing your hair straight scare you when you have a balayage? Typically people think a balayage looks better curled and I might agree with all the dimension it shows..but balayage should be done to where it looks great curled or straight!! 💫
