The longer you train, the more you realize martial arts is bigger than just punches, kicks, or one specialty. A complete martial artist studies distance, timing, movement, mindset, control, weapons, groundwork, and the many realities of combat.
Keep learning. Keep growing. Never stop expanding your skills.

🥋 Who Is Jack Scott? 🥋
Jack Scott was more than a name on our sign — he was the heart and foundation of what Jack Scott United Karate Studio stands for.
Jack personified the clean, positive, All-American values that continue to define our studio and our students today. A 6th Degree Black Belt and certified Master Instructor with the United Karate Association, Jack devoted nearly three decades to the mental and physical discipline of martial arts, helping shape not only students, but future Black Belt instructors within the United Karate System.
His competitive career was just as remarkable. Jack earned the United Karate Association’s “Competitor of the Year” honors in both 1986 and 1987, along with multiple Grand Champion Awards, and a 1st place finish at the prestigious Battle of Atlanta. National magazines Sport Karate and Karate Illustrated ranked him among the Top 10 fighters in the Southeastern United States in his division.
Jack trained under the legendary Mr. Ben Kiker, chief instructor of the United Karate System and one of the most respected figures in martial arts history, known for producing more nationally and regionally ranked champions than any instructor in the Southern U.S.
Born September 30, 1949, Jack passed away from brain cancer on July 25, 2000. He left behind his wife, Jane Scott, who continues to honor his legacy by owning and carrying forward the karate studio he established. We thank Jane Scott and Tara Eubanks for honoring his wishes for 25+ years.
💛 Jack’s spirit, values, and passion for martial arts live on in every class, every student, and every belt earned.
