π Heads-up NYC!
The clocks are changing soon:
β’ In 2025 we will βspring forwardβ on March 9 (lose one hour)
β’ Then we βfall backβ on November 2 (gain one hour)
Set your clocks, check your devices, and enjoy that extra hour of sleep in November!
π Daylight Saving Time applies to:
β‘οΈ Most of the United States, including New York City, follows the same time change schedule β
β’ Start: Second Sunday in March (Spring Forward πΈ)
β’ End: First Sunday in November (Fall Back π)
So NYC changes time on the same dates as almost the entire U.S.
π« Exceptions (places that do not change the clock)
Only two main areas in the U.S. donβt observe Daylight Saving Time:
1. Hawaii πΊ β stays on standard time all year.
2. Most of Arizona π΅ β except the Navajo Nation, which does follow DST.
π What you need to do
β’ At 2 a.m. on those dates:
β’ In March: set clocks forward one hour (so 2 a.m β 3 a.m.). οΏΌ
β’ In November: set clocks back one hour (so 2 a.m. β 1 a.m.). οΏΌ
β’ Many devices (smartphones, computers) will adjust automatically β but check manually on analog clocks, wall clocks, old appliances, etc.

NYC follows the national schedule for Daylight Saving Time.
π So when the U.S. changes time, New York changes too β no difference in dates.
