Elmira Express Softball with a tough loss tonight in extra innings with Chenango Valley winning the battle 0-1.

Payton Ross threw for 7.2 innings recording 11 strikeouts, 2 walks and allowed 1 hit.

We threatened, but we were unable to get a run across the plate. Express got hits from Ava Sherman, Abby Lambert and Madisen Jones.

Express are away at Corning on Wednesday 5 PM.

Congratulations to the girls on their win over Binghamton. Maddi Smith led the way on the mound striking out 8.

Multiple base hits came from Lily Cornacchio, Mackenzie Fusare, Abby Lambert, Addisyn Chorney, Ryleigh Ogden, Maddie Smith, Allie Howe and Ava Sherman.

Abby Lambert also flashed some leather making a great diving catch in the infield.

Overall the express had 10 RBI’s on 9 hits!

Express with win over Johnson City in their home opener!

Hannah Lambert with the win on the mound and Maddi Smith with the save.

The express combined for 12 hits with MacKenzie Fusare led the way going 3 for 4 at the plate. Followed by multiple hits from Lily Cornacchio and Hannah Lambert.

The Express right now are 1-1 and will take on Maine Endwell at their place on Wednesday 4/12/23 at 5:00 PM
