Coaching,
All my life I have been around mentors, advisors and coaches.
All those role models helped me through my life.
They taught me skills, work ethics, time management, organization, to be a good human, and to be me.
They impacted my life in so many ways. Moments I can’t thank enough for! The memories that I will never forget!
I want to be that person that impacts someone’s life in a unforgettable positive way.
Being a Coach at CrossFit Ellis is helping me do that.
Walking in giving athletes a high five, hug, smile, or even that awesome cool handshake!
Makes part of my day special.
Because I know I can give my full potential to help someone on their fitness journey.
I have one hour to do so… and I try to do what I can to make that happen!
When hearing an athlete say “Coach Ben, Thank you so much”
“Thank you for pushing me, I wouldn’t done that if I did it by myself”
“Hey Coach, thank you for being patient with me”
I get it and I understand where they are coming from. I’ve been there.
I had helped with veterans my time as a rookie.
Now it’s time to be that veteran/coach for someone else!

People who love exercise usually have two things in common:
1 – they have another human to exercise with.
2 – they have a third human telling them what to do.
In short, people who love exercise usually have a training buddy and a coach.
Building a habit is hard to do alone. But if someone else is depending on you to show up on time, you’ll do it!

It’s the final week of our Challenge, and we can’t wait to see the final results!
This challenge was centered around developing new fitness and nutrition habits while creating accountability.
Some of our challengers were focused on losing body fat, while others were more focused on building lean muscle.
Over the halfway point, we saw tremendous progress by so many, and again we can’t wait to see the final results!
If you are one of our challengers, we will open up plenty of test out days and times!
Let’s all have a great week, and make sure we continue to build off this momentum we’ve created 💯

It’s a 😎
Today I want to give a shout out to one of our longest active members, Ana Acosta!
Ana has been a part of this community since before we were even a CrossFit Affiliate. She is coming upwards of 10 years of training with us, and man have we had some great times.
From 3 different locations, to many many events, competitions, partner comps, to just embracing the grind.
We’ve grown in this lifestyle together, just as we’ve seen each other’s kids grow up.
She’s been here through it all, the ups and downs, the transitions, challenges and changes.
One of the toughest ladies I have ever met, and one to never back down from a challenge!
Thanks for all the years of support, it’s been a fun ride!
“I have so so many great memories at CrossFit Ellis.
Specially from the Open.
One of the Opens was one of my great memories
When I got my bar muscle up.
Seeing everyone cheering me on.
It’s a great feeling how everyone cares and cheers for your accomplishments.
Why I keep coming back?
I keep coming back because of the same that I said above
Everyone is so caring, loving
We are all like a family.
Even when I’m having a bad day, as soon as I walk in I forget about it.
I can’t never forget when I got sick that I was on bed rest for weeks.
You Aaron Mireles brought lunch to my family on Sunday.
That really said a lot about you as a Coach it touch our hearts Juan and me and the kids will never forget that. 😭
Your not just a Coach in the gym.
Your also a great friend.
Thanks for everything.” - Ana

Here are five simple ways for to boost your positivity, add some happiness to your life, and increase performance:
1. Take a few minutes each day to write down 3 positive things in your life. Doing this daily will begin to rewire your brain 🧠

3. Hopefully we got you covered here, but exercise daily! Even if it’s just 20-30 minutes of walking. Moving your body boost the mood.
4. Practice a little bit of meditation or quiet time. Life can knock you down, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Time to collect your thoughts, pray or just be have someone peace and quite for a few minutes can help rid some of the daily negatives.
