🌽 Harvest season keeps us busy! 🚜

We’re still working on chopping corn here on the farm. It’s a big job, but getting the feed put away now helps us get ready for the months ahead.

Of course, no harvest season would be complete without a little excitement. 😅 While we were chopping, one of our wagons tipped over. Thankfully, everyone was okay, and we were able to get the wagon righted and keep on chopping.

That’s farm life sometimes — things don’t always go exactly according to plan, but you take care of the problem and keep moving!

We’ve also got some happy news on the livestock side. The pigs we had this spring are now out on pasture, enjoying some space and fresh air. 🐖🌱

It’s a busy time of year around here, but we’re enjoying these last days of summer and getting ready for fall.

🌭 Something new is hitting the grill this weekend! 🔥

We’re excited to introduce our newest brat flavor: Sweet Kentucky Bourbon Brats!

They’re sweet, flavorful, and have just a little bit of spice — a pretty great combination for the grill. We’ve tried them ourselves, and they’re definitely worth adding to your weekend cookout!

Even better, we just got our pork back from the processor, so we’re well stocked back up on pork products and most of the brat flavors that have been missing are back too.

And since we’re getting toward the end of summer, there’s another favorite we’re ready to bring back into the spotlight…

🥓🍅 BLT season!

We’ve got bacon back in stock, and fresh tomatoes + farm-raised bacon is one of those simple combinations that just tastes like summer.

We're well stocked on everything right now, but our lamb supply is getting very low. We're not sure when we'll have more available once it's gone, so if lamb is on your list, now is the time to pick some up.

🌾 A little break between hay crops! 🌾

We weathered the storms this week without any issues, and we're thankful for that. Right now we're in between hay crops, which gives us a little time to catch up on some of the other jobs around the farm.

This week we've been working on firewood and tackling a few projects that tend to get pushed aside when we're busy making hay. There's always something that needs doing around here!

We also caught a few turkeys enjoying the hayfield. You never quite know what you'll see when you're working around the farm!

While we're taking care of things here at home, we're also getting ready for another Saturday at the Dubuque Farmers Market.

We'll have a full selection of our farm-raised products, with plenty of brats, pork chops, beef, eggs, and more.

We're getting very low on lamb, and we're not sure yet when we'll have more available once it's gone.

Thank you for choosing local food and supporting our family farm. We'll see you Saturday from 7:00 AM–Noon!

The hay is finished, the rain has freshened everything up, and we're ready for another Saturday at the Dubuque Farmers Market!
