The Rivals season came to a close last night as they fell to the Outlaws 4-1 in the Semi-Final elimination game. Good luck to both the Outlaws and TESCO in the championship.
Pat Stafford and Ross Morrow both had solid pitching performances. They struck out 9 batters and allowed 4 earned runs.
Logan Wells and Kenny Nickson III excelled at the plate.

The Rivals dropped the first game of their playoff series to the Outlaws. It was a solid effort by everyone, but wasn’t enough to bring home the win.
Kenny Nickson III and Logan Wells had two hit games. Logan also had a double and a walk. Nate Doutt and Charlie Salvo threw 5.2 solid innings in relief.
Congrats to Tyler Chorney, who hit the first home run in Rivals history. It came in the fourth inning, a solo shot to left field.

The Rivals dropped the final two games of the regular season to undefeated TESCO.
Welcome back Ross Morrow! Ross, Charlie Salvo, and Logan Wells all excelled pitching.
Tyler Banks had two hits and Brady Rocky had an RBI double to the fence.

Next game starts the Semi-Final Playoff Series against the Outlaws. The first game is 7/24 at 6pm at Ainsworth Field.
Yesterday, the Rivals played the Outlaws and won 8-7 in a back and forth matchup to improve to (4-3-1) on the season. Despite falling 4-0 after two innings, the Rivals battled back to tie the game at 4-4. Then after going down 6-4, the Rivals scored 4 more runs to go up 8-4 on the Outlaws. They were able to hold the lead and take home the win, 8-7.
Kenny Nickson III, Ryan Fiscus (W), and Tyler Banks (S) all had strong pitching performances in relief. Offensively, Tyler Banks had two hits while the Rivals tallied 6 hits and worked 7 walks.

The Rivals next game is tonight (7/21) against TESCO, making up two games to finish the regular season at Ainsworth Field.
Last night, the Rivals fell to the Braendel Services Outlaws in a close 6-5 game. It was a hard fought game with clutch hitting and great defensive plays on both sides. Both teams will rematch on Sunday (7/20) at 5pm at Ainsworth Field.
