The fish on one of my club lakes were definitely switched on today with a day session resulting in 9 carp landed from 10 takes.

I had issues with my camera app for the first fish so unfortunately I didn't get a pic but it was a 17lb 4oz Common Caught on a Mulbriplex wafter.

I started off fishing the margins either side and after the bites slowed down there I moved the rods onto some new spots to rest the margins for a bit.

Both new spots started producing fairly quickly and after I'd had a few bites from each of then I moved both rods back into the margin for the final couple of hours which resulted in the largest catch of the day at 20lb 12oz.

I managed to get out on the bank for a day session today. With the lake I wanted to go to shut for spawning and the next 2 lakes I looked at rather busy I ended up going to the club lake I fished last season and to my surprise was the only one down there.

A few individual fish were topping in 2 corners of the lake and I decided to place one down the near margin and cast the other out towards where I had seen a fish show. It was quiet for a while and then my margin rod went resulting in a 19lb 2oz common.

After photos I got the rod back on the same spot but after a couple of hours I still had nothing else, so moved the margin rod onto another spot I had seen a fish topping out a few times but did not have any joy.

With the last hour of the session looming I decided to bring both rods in and place one either side in the near margin and within about 15 mins my left rod went off. 5 mins later whilst I was still playing the first take my other rod went off as well. Once I had the first one in the net I picked up the second rod and landed that one.

A nice double take was a welcome end to the session especially with the first of the 2 fish going 27lb 12oz and being my new PB for that lake.

Another slow day at the lake today with the fish still not giving away any signs of their location.

I moved the rods around multiple spots that have produced in the past with no joy. I occasionally trickled in a few mixers to see if I could tempt them onto the surface and even tried a zig for a little while.

The effort was finally rewarded just before I was about to start packing up with this last minute blank saver.

The lake was rather moody today with no fish showing. I lost one to a hook pull a couple of hours into the session from a spot which has been producing well recently but not today. After moving the rods round a bit I managed to snag this 18lb Common.

fished Mulbriplex on one of his rods and had a mid double Mirror.

Today's session resulted in 6 carp landed from 7 takes with the biggest being 21lb 6oz. 3 each on Bakewell Blast and Grub Hub wafters but one was only a small single so I didn't get a photo.

It was a little windy down at the lake today but I managed to land 3 from 4 takes with the biggest going 24lb 4oz.

4 landed from 4 takes on today's session with the biggest going 19lb 12oz and the Grub Hub catching the majority.

had an overnight session last night. He fished Mulbriplex on one of his rods and it landed him the biggest capture out of the 6 he had.

The fish weren't quite as active as last week but a day session today resulted in 5 landed from 5 takes up to 22lb 8oz.
