Fairbanks Cycle Club

Fairbanks Cycle Club Here in Fairbanks, AK, we do our riding during long winter nights, and long summer days. Check us out at http://www.fairbankscycleclub.org

We are a bicycle club in Fairbanks, Alaska. We hold numerous rides and races throughout the year -- under the midnight sun in summer, and under the northern lights in winter. Fairbanks is rich with trails suitable for year-round mountain biking, and though many of our roads are hilly and rough-surfaced, we still enjoy our races and group road rides.

When the cat is away the mice will play! Eric may have called last week the last official ride TNR, but I’m gonna call this one the last official ride. Meet up is at UAF Ski hut. After riding large portions of Skarland for Equinox clean up, we notice the trails are in great shape, so Skarland 12 mile it is.

The public has until September 21 to comment on a proposed State of Alaska land sale that could endanger several trails in the Rosie Creek area. In winter, these are popular multi-use motorized trails. Many people use them to fatbike. We hold several fatbike tours on these trails each winter. People also use them for snowmachining, skiing, mushing, snowshoeing, and walking. Citizen comments are important.

See more, including how to comment, here.
