This large buck deer was found headless Sunday morning 12/4/2016. It was located North of Hwy 59 (west of Sailboat Bridge) on 590 Rd (Farmers Market) in Delaware County. At approximately 1 1/2 miles North on 590 Rd the road y's and to the right becomes 595 Rd. The location was just passed Hickory Creek bridge on the South side of the road.

Game Warden Marni Loftis (Delaware County) began the investigation into the case on 12/5/2016. It was determined deer died between 48 to 72 hours before it was found. This would puts the time of death between 12/1/2016 to 12/3/2016.

The hunter that legally hunts the area provided the trailcam picture that is likely the deer.

Oklahoma Game Wardens

Because of critical information from the public, Oklahoma Game Wardens Kody Moore and Marni Loftis (Delaware Co.) located the suspects that killed the two high fence deer previously featured on here. Both bucks were killed north of Rose, OK in a licensed commercial (high fence) facility, without permission.

The suspects had been hunting on a neighboring property adjacent to the commercial area and had seen the deer multiple times. No longer able to control themselves the suspects shot both deer around 3:00 am, on Christmas morning. One of the bucks was the owners main breeder buck and therefore his biggest and most valuable. The suspects both gave the wardens written confessions and took the wardens to where the racks were hidden. The bows they used were both seized as evidence as well. One of the suspects checked the biggest of the poached bucks in online as if he had killed it legally from the wild.

Charges are pending in Delaware county as well as mandatory restitution to replace both bucks in addition the fencing they had cut.

Thank you again for your continued support!

[12/30/15]   Thank you for another great season! I hate to see the season come to an end. The Crazy Cajun is now CLOSED for drop off service and will NOT be processing any more deer this season. If you have meat to pick up please contact Leckey 918-801-8656 for available pick up times. Thanks so much ~ We appreciate YOU!
