Happy ! Please welcome 2021’s new scholar Micah Gamlen! Micah is from Northeast Portland, where he attended Benson Polytechnic High School and caddied at Waverley Country Club. Micah plans to major in architecture at UO. He is interested in snowboarding 🏂 , golfing 🏌️♀️ , art 🖼, and camping 🏕 . His favorite high school memory is playing on the golf team! In ten years, he sees himself working hard in his career and traveling 🧳 ! A song that represents him is “Bull Doze Blues” by Henry Thomas because he’s always itching to get on the road and go somewhere 🚗 . Micah is excited for the whole college experience and hopes to study abroad 🌎 !

Happy ! Today, we have Lilly Varner, a New Scholar AND the Executive VP of our house. Lilly is from Portland, OR, and graduated from Parkrose High School 🌹. She caddied at Rose City Golf Course as an EAGLE Caddie ⛳️. Lilly is a declared Political Science major who is considering a minor in psychology 🧠. Her favorite high school memory was the first time she won against a rival volleyball team 🏐! She sees herself either working at a law firm or traveling the world 🌍 . She can not imagine what she will be doing in 10 years, as it could be anything! A song 🎵 that represents her/how she feels is Streetcar by Daniel Caesar because the lyrics, streets lights are “like moments passing,” seems really accurate.
She is most excited about meeting tons of new people and making lots of connections in college 📚 ! She is also super excited for house trips🚗!

Happy Sunday 😊! Today’s is Tevon Phomphakdy, one of our New Scholar. He is from Portland, OR and went to Parkrose High School 🌹. Tevon caddied at Riverside Country Club and Royal Oaks Country Club ⛳️. One of his most memorable high school moment is being Conference champions for our football team my junior year of high school 🏈. He plans to major in Human Physiology🫀🦴. He is looking forward for the college life. His interests are included weight lifting 🏋️♂️, sports 🏀, and anime. One song that represents him is slow Down by Mac Ayres because it's mello and laid back like him. In 10 years, Tevon hope to do something that he enjoy that he won't regret doing.
