"Growing up, getting to go bowhunting with my grandfather was such a privilege for me. He took so much time teaching me how to shoot a bow properly, the spots you do and don't want to hang stands, and the ethics of taking a proper shot. During that time, I could never understand why he would let me take every stalk, and always put me in the best stands. Now that I have my own son, I can fully understand and appreciate the decisions he made. It is such an honor to be able to share my life long passion with the next generation. Seeing my son's interest and curiosity grow with each season and each experience is the best trophy for me. In two short years, my son will be 10 and he will be bowhunting for himself. I have no doubt, that with his current level of passion, and enthusiasm, that over these next two years, he will gain the knowledge needed to go field bowhunting. Our family is in the unique position where my son has been bowhunting along side his great-grandfather for the past two years. It's truly magical to see the man that taught me everything I know about hunting pass it on directly to my son. Although he doesn't know it yet, my son is incredibly fortunate for the experiences he is currently living." -
