Early morning trail runs get me every time

When Youโre climbing one mountain to check an item off your to do list, and another objective says hello ๐๐ฏ
Always setting the next goal. ๐ฅStaying motivated for me is so crucial to my fitness goals and the things I want to accomplish.
Find your motivation and keeping pushing towards your goals
One of the most important things we can do for ourselves and others is listening with intention.
When you find new places, new trails, new river....the beauty always motivates me to keep going ๐๐ผ thank you Mother Nature โค๏ธโฃ๏ธ

It is not a secret to many of you...that I do not enjoy my time in the kitchen! ๐๐คฃ๐คฃ
But I do it! And why might you ask? Because I know what it feels like to derail from your goals and I know what it feels like to feel good about your progress AND the difference? For me it always comes down to nutrition.
It literally amazes me how much our diets, by diet I mean what we consume, affects everything, from acne to migraines to weight loss to being toned.
So hereโs a shout out to the best bf ever @photoadventurejunkie because I canโt take the credit. He made these delicious egg cups so I could stay on track ๐ฅฐ thank you!
Sometimes, hardest part of my workout is just putting on my shoes.
Then I remind myself itโs not always going to be easy BUT itโs always going to be worth it.
Is this true for some of you?
Perhaps youโre just starting out on your fitness & health journey, maybe you havenโt started yet because youโre too nervous or maybe youโre just bored of your routine.
Remember you can do this! Start small, take a baby step. Maybe itโs one of my quick 10 minute routines, maybe you just need a friend along the way or maybe youโd love one of my fav HIIT style routines.

When you live in Oregon you get to trail run, workout and explore in so many amazing places.
Just over a year ago, I made scary move from Albuquerque to Oregon and I wasnโt sure if I was going to settle in. But then I started to explore and reminded to do things that I love. Wouldnโt you know....I found peace, love and joy โฃ๏ธ๐
I love training to climb mountains. One of my favorite things to do is make up workouts as Iโm out hiking and trail running.

Day 1 Fun on the Timberline trail...41.5 miles in 2 days....21.5 miles later, 2 smiles, at least 2 mountain lions and a beautiful camp spot later...we earned our sodium laced delicious dinner ๐คฃ๐๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ is good ๐ฏ๐๐ผ๐
Some days I wish I could run faster. Some I wish I could run longer distances and some days I wish I could run faster for longer.
And then I have days spent like this, where I just feel blessed to be able to run at all; To run in a place less traveled and so full of beauty.
What an amazing way to spend a day off and a wonderful reminder of what an amazing way to reset the soul.
Side note: Iโll still run faster one day ๐๐คฃ๐ช๐ผ๐ and crush my goals haha I canโt change everything at once but I can love the process and journey that it takes to get there โฃ๏ธ

When you do 18 miles on the trail and still come home feeling bloated and not in shape....

That is the title of this hike!
This was a 10.5 mile round trip hike. On a hot sunny day this is the hike for you, you are under canopy [email protected] trees all day. And re-warded with more tree cover at the top.
Have you ever been on a hike and said, I wish I could hike this faster!? Or been in a group of people and asked yourself why the others make it look so easy?
I can tell you from experience I grew up asking these questions and continued well into my adult years until I finally said how can I train for this....and I made a change.
Itโs hikes like this one that give me the strength & stamina I need for my other goals.

1. Tuck Jumps - option squat to calf raise
2. Push-Ups - Knees or Toes
3. High Knees or option is High Marching in place
4. Burpees - with Push Up at the bottom & Jump @ the top
5. Lunges - 10 on each side
6. Push-Ups
7. Lunges - burn out one side & then the other
8. Burpees
9. Tuck Jumps
10. Plank - knees or toes
11. Lunges
12. Tuck Jumps
Try for 2-4 Rounds

I love this workout, to me itโs a great mix between cardio and exercises. The tempo of the workout stays up while helping me mentally to push through to knock it out because itโs constantly changing speeds. I hope you like it as much as I do.
