Very exciting day today, for myself anyway! I admit, I got to nerd out on some cool new equipment! Our team recently installed an RDT EcoCool system for a good customer of ours (new location, expanding) and I got an opportunity to follow up on it. The main cooling unit is a medium sized walk in cooler, then it also controls cooling for 4 other Delfield reach-in cooler units. RDT has implemented the Copeland digital scroll design into this unit and it is amazing how well this set up works. I love learning and seeing new technology applied to our basic units! Plus they are using KE2Therm controls, which I am already a huge fan of! Excited to see more from RDT!

Saturday service - beer pouring warm, this old Banner Glycol chiller tripped the high pressure safety due to a failed condenser fan motor. Replaced motor and cleaned the condenser, noticed refrigerant charge was a little low, added refrigerant and unit resumed cooling, all just in time for cold beer pouring!

Nothing in particular here, just a photo dump from this previous week at work! It has been a very very busy, challenging summer! Glad we are moving into fall, looking forward to whatever lays ahead!

Recently we had to replace a large 13.5hp Danfoss compressor for a glycol chiller. This compressor had a locked-rotor. I was curious to see the inside, so last night, we cut this guy open. Very interesting design into this compressor.

Here comes summer, warm weather, rooftops, and these a-holes!

Outfitting a new van for one of our guys. We don’t do standard shelving systems here, we purchase a few items like drum racks and ladder racks, but we build out the rest all from scratch! It’s fun figuring out the layout, getting the weight distributed, and figuring out what can go closest to a door for ease of access. This one is almost done and ready for our guy to move into!

We are on a weather delay this morning, keeping everyone safe at home for now, hope this clears up soon! We hope everyone is able to be safe and warm while waiting for this weather to pass!
