Ellie Dods BMX Rider

Hi everyone, Ellie's mom here.

A lot has happened over the past few months.

Ellie has been in talks with me about coming back to EV BMX, but right now we are struggling as I have Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer, it progressed from Stage 2 very quickly. I find out on the 25th of my cancer is metastatic / Stage 4 and if it has progressed to my brain.

I am Ellie's primary caretaker and we need help. If you could simply share the link below, it would be helpful.

She misses her friends at the track, and I took a video of her tinkering with her BMX bike just a few days ago 🤣 (she would get super mad if I posted it but it was super cute)

Hello everyone, Ellie's (The Burrito) mom here.

I know we haven't been active in a few months and I'd like to say a few things.

First and foremost, Ellie misses everyone at Emerald Valley. She has decided to take a pause on BMX for the time being. She absolutely loves everyone. She misses her team at Bruce DeLongs Bike Alley, Wendy, and all of her friends and team mates.

I was just diagnosed with breast cancer, and will be needing to undergo surgery and treatment. I lost hours at my job, and my truck keeps breaking down.

Life hasn't been easy for us, but! We are still here. No need to worry, we got this!

For those of you who remember my son Jakob (the Boogeyman) Bangs, he is wanting to come back to EV BMX, and I am working on the funding to do so.

He will be returning in the upcoming weeks.

I want to thank everyone here for supporting, and encouraging Ellie with her journey into BMX. She was resilient, and she learned valuable lessons and had an awesome time!

She will be back!

Hey guys, Ellie's mama here!
I got injured at work, and am heading into urgent care this morning to be checked out.
Due to the extent of my injury, I can't lift anything, and I can't lift Ellie's bike into my truck especially. Unfortunately she will not be able to attend today's race.

I am very sorry to her sponsor, I feel like we have been slacking off, but we will be back! And my son will be starting to come back to EV BMX very soon!

Ellie went out and participated in the clinic this morning for the Lady Racers! She did awesome! She did have a small crash, but she got up and toughed it out! She even won a prize! She will be back to racing next Sunday!

Ellie took home a 1st place win today! Pics and videos to come! She definitely battled it out with one of her fellow riders today!

Today Ellie is representing ⭐Bruce DeLong's Bike Alley⭐ at her school today for Spirit Week! Today's theme is, "wear your favorite sports team gear to school" 🚲

Ellie is just not having the best of luck this week, unfortunately she was diagnosed with Influenza A today, and she will be missing BMX this weekend. Hoping for a speedy recovery and that she will be back at the track in March!
