Northwest Fencing Academy

From a one day Dagger Seminar in Sherbrooke, Quebec. The seminar covered the 1st, 3rd, and 9th Dagger Remedy Masters and key Scholar plays from Fiore dei Liberi's il Fior di Battaglia. This video is comprised of the instructional segments on the First Remedy Master of Dagger. The focus is on learning correct body mechanics, using Fiore's turns of the body and weapon. After warms ups, including the basic turns of the body, we began with a demonstration of the complete drill.
There's a lot of repetition and reinforcement; this is by design, so that students learn, retain, and can actually use the core concepts needed to support Fiore's actions, rather than just coming away with a vague memory of a whole bunch of individual techniques.
Many thanks to all the students, and to my demonstration partner Jean-Louis Boudreau. He did a fantastic job demonstrating and working with me, and with very little prompting did everything beautifully.

We hold two Fight Nights per month, which are open to all students and interested parties.

Our 2nd Fight Night of February was an armoured hit! This is the largest turnout of Armoured players on one of our Fight Nights!

Our Fight Nights are generally held on the 2nd & 4th Fridays of the month, and are held from 6 to 8pm.
