The Jacks are back! We are SO pumped to be back on the bay with the team and are starting the season strong. 💪

On Friday, we had a very special evening with some very special supporters of Humboldt Crew! Thank you to Joyce and Ron for their continuous support and for hosting the team for a wonderful (and delicious) dinner.

We are incredibly grateful for our donors, alumni, families, coaches, and everyone who makes Humboldt Crew possible! It’s going to be a great year… see you on the water. 💚 💛

Come check out the Orientation Open Boathouse Tour on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 10am to 12pm!

Meet the rowing teams, tour the boathouse, try an erg, and learn about all the incredible Outdoor Adventures opportunities available to Humboldt students.

Catch the shuttle from HGH every 30 minutes starting at 10 a.m. or meet us at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center.

No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity.

Congratulations to these 10 members for holding at least a 3.50 GPA (second year of eligibility or more) and rowing at least 75% of races this season while also competing in a boat at the conference or national championship! 👏

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Ellie Walters
Ellie, a senior rower on our team, has officially graduated! Here’s a little about Ellie:

Her favorite memory was at Nationals in 2023, when Ellie was 7 seat in the V8. Seattle Pacific’s 8 didn’t make the grand final but we’d competed against them all season and pushed each other to get faster. Despite that, they still hyped us up before our final race and did the classic “Huuuuumboldt” fog horn. As a freshman new to collegiate rowing, Ellie loved experiencing another group of strong, driven women lifting us up even after being competitors all season. 💪 After practice, you will probably find Ellie eating delicious peanut butter 😛 Ellie majored in child development family relations and minored in psychology and American Sign Language & specialized populations. Her favorite thing about Humboldt is the community and nature. 🌴 After graduation, Ellie will be working as a registered behavior technician in Arcata to expand her skills in child development. She looks forward to learning more about her interests and choosing a grad program. 👩‍🎓
