Results are now posted on Ultrasignup. That essentially was my last duty as Race Director for Chubb.

So, time to get sappy & move on. I want to thank Saint Louis Ultrarunners Group (SLUGS) for taking a chance on a guy (who had never ran an ultra) to lead a race as prestigious as this. I’m not sure they knew how inexperienced I was but I guess it was better than the alternative of not having a race. Since taking it over I hope I’ve left my mark on it in the form of BOCO Gear swag, leg pain, 4 Hands Brewing Company beer, and physical & mental scars.

Thanks to all the volunteers who have helped me look like I knew what I was doing. You all are the true heroes. Waking up crazy early & dealing with injured/hungry runners all with a smile on your faces.

Thanks to the hundreds of runners who paid money, trained, fell, got up, & ran again. Before I started this I was so concerned with my own results in races, but thanks to watching you succeed I’ve found it waaaaay more gratifying than any PR of my own.

I’m leaving this race in great hands with the 3 new RDs. They have a wealth of knowledge and will no doubt take this race to the next level.

Get ready for hills.
Due to the river levels and projected crest tomorrow, we will have to keep the race on the West Tyson side and enact the Quadruple Bypass route for the 3rd straight time. Getting ridiculous, but as they say, you can play a pretty picnic but you can’t predict the weather (🎶 ).

Packet Pickup is tonight at 4 Hands starting at 5:30pm. First round is on us. Hope to see you there.
