Three lions in three weeks—spring is off to a strong start. It’s been an excellent season for keeping the dogs in top condition and consistently working good tracks.

This tom was successfully treed and freed. He appears to have come through a tough winter, with body condition suggesting limited food availability in recent months. # Ira Hook

After a slower winter season, we’re beginning to see a noticeable increase in mountain lion movement. During our time in Wyoming, it was often a safe recommendation to book hunts in the winter months due to consistent tracking conditions and predictable patterns.

Now, in our second year operating in Nevada, we’ve observed a different trend. Spring hunting has proven to be highly productive, with increased cat movement and improved overall opportunity. As conditions shift and prey becomes more active, Nevada’s spring season is quickly standing out as a prime time to be in the field.

We’re excited to continue adapting to these regional differences and helping our clients make the most of each season.
