Hill slide options:
For those of you looking to test out your new found slides, there is a hill within two small breaths of skating. Even better, it might be wet and slippery enough to slide even further than usual.

“Rain or Shine \ Coffee & Slides”
Hello everyone!
We had so much fun last Sunday skating the North Creek Trail that we’re doing it again! This time with a little more emphasis on slides, puddle jumping and branch grinding! Thanks to our local hero Cory, we found an awesome dry little garage with minimal wet surface. Perfect for practicing slides while staying dry!
THE GOAL:
Encourage more skaters to skate rain or shine. It’s important for our heath to be active and consistent; for both our bodies and our minds. The rain can be a great way to cleanse both the things around us and internally so what better way then to skate in it. I want to help prepare folks and build confidence in any condition. So brings pads, old rain gear, and a smile! If we want to go practice some flat land dry skating after coffee, there is a parking garage one block away from Visible Coffee that we can go to and practice skate shenanigans.
IF DRY:
We get to have a blast bombing through a dimmed forestry rollercoaster trail dodging squirrels and kicking pine cones with cool light up wheels . Once we get to Visible for Coffee, Tea etc, we can take a short break to discuss new things happening in the skate community or community in general.
IF WET:
I encourage you to come out EVEN MORE! Lucky for you I have 20+ years of experience skating in almost every condition including ice & snow ❄️. I will happily take my time at each section of the trail to ensure everyone’s safety and give you lots of pointers for changing conditions. So bring a smile and be prepared to learn slides! There is a parking garage next to the coffee shop that is dry with wet runs that are perfect for sliding while staying dry!

Hey everyone,
Derek and I (Ash) have been missing our skate family a ton over the last few months, and I just wanted to share a little bit about what’s been going on. From my personal perspective, life has been very heavy, and I’ve had to lean on Derek so much. For some, skating is their therapy; for me, I needed to completely step away from skating to allow my mind, body, and soul the space to sit and grieve.
To grieve is to feel a great loss, and with a great loss comes sadness. Being able to have the space to grieve and talk to someone has been my priority. Although I have distanced myself a lot from my skate community—and many other things I love—I needed to allow myself the time to think and process life.
That being said, with many losses come many wins, which I have also experienced over the last few months 💙 Like the moon, new cycles come and go, and we, as people, are always evolving and growing. However painful the growth may feel, we will always grow—and it’s always for the greater good. I’ve developed trust, forgiveness, and resilience during this season.
I’m ready to see everyone again and spread the love of skating together. Tonight, I’m excited to share that we’ll be at the fundraiser. This event means a lot to me, especially because has been so open to hearing the input of both inline and quad skaters. They even made an appearance and took these rad photos at @....
