Myofascial Release to the hyoid solves many cases of head tossing and reluctance to the bit
The muscles around the hyoid are innervated by the Ansa cervicalis nerve. This nerve contributes sensory innervation to the skin over the poll as well.
Addressing nerve roots C1, 2 and 3 can help both hyoid AND poll sensitivity due to the shared innervation.
