Fairbanks Pop Up Yoga

We had a perfectly peaceful practice in a dreamy little dandelion field last night 🥰 Thanks to everyone for coming out! Next week looks like it’s going to cool off a bit, so have a fun Solstice weekend and we’ll see y’all again in July ☀️

We love our BLM yogis! They’ve given us some insights since our email initially went out yesterday:

1 - Visitor parking, which we normally park, is closed off due to construction. Instead, park in the main parking lot (first right as you pull into the driveway) and walk through the staging/supplies to get to the grass!

2 - It’s fire season, y’all. BLM picked up over 20 fires this week so there’s a chance there could be some helicopter action. If the copters are going at 5:30, we’ll send out an email & post on social media to postpone our pop up. If not, we’ll start our practice right at 6pm and if we get interrupted by a helicopter, we’ll mark it as the end of practice.

Keep your fingers crossed and we’ll see you TONIGHT 6-7pm on the grassy field next to the Bureau of Land Management at 222 University Ave.

In true form, we’re announcing a last minute pop up for TOMORROW! Thursday looks risky for rain and Friday begins all the Solstice celebrations so let’s gather while we can for a beautiful mid-week class!

We’ll meet WEDNESDAY (June 18) 6-7pm on the grassy field next to the Bureau of Land Management.

The Bureau of Land Management is located at 222 University Ave. VISITOR PARKING IS CLOSED OFF DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. Park in the main parking lot instead (first right as you pull into the driveway) and walk through the staging/supplies to get to the grass!

ALSO: be warned, fire season is underway, there’s a chance a helicopter might make an appearance! If so, we’ll treat it as a meditation and go with the flow, as we do!

Pop Up events are donation-based ($5-$10 suggested) so give what you can, and if you can’t donate, please still come and join in on these fun community events. Don’t forget to bring your YOGA MAT. And if you don’t have a mat you can practice on a blanket or towel. Other items to consider bringing: a hat, bug spray, sun screen, water (keep hydrated!), and a towel to shade your face during savasana.

Let’s start the season out strong at one of our favorite venues! Big thanks to Stephanie for hosting us at her beautiful greenhouse.
