What a great post.

As the 2026 Youth World begins to come to a close, we start to reflect on the achievements, the goals reached, the improvements made, and most importantly, the growth that comes from attending an event like this.

The Youth World pushes these kids in a way very few other shows can. It brings a level of pressure they may have never felt before. It challenges them to find a way to repeat that perfect go, control their nerves and turn them into grit, and keep showing up even when things don’t go exactly as planned.

It’s an experience that can’t truly be replicated in the real world, but the lessons learned here certainly carry over into it. It teaches them how to accept mistakes, stay humble through every opportunity, celebrate their achievements, handle disappointment, and keep working toward the next goal. There is so much more gained from the Youth World than what will ever show up on a results sheet.

So, we would like to start with our first youth kid to officially complete her 2026 AQHYA World Championship Show — Sophia Gato and DUBBLE DOWN!

And this one was extra special because it was Sophia’s very first Youth World! She came, she competed, and she got to experience everything that comes along with this incredible show. She watched, cheered on her friends, spent some great time in the saddle, and gained an experience she’ll be able to carry with her into the future.

Congratulations, Sophia & DUBBLE DOWN, on completing your very first Youth World! 💙
