🌟Badass Woman Thrower Spotlight🌟

Claudia Benitez competed for the first time this weekend at 2023 Far-Thro Televised Axe, Knife & Women's Throwing Tournament.

After going 0-2 in the hatchet division, Claudia went into the 0-2 single elimination tournament & won back to back to back games. (Those scores did NOT look like an amateur bracket)

Claudia and Trevor Cobbs made it to the televised finals on Sunday. As a new thrower, the bright lights and crowd certainly are a new element... it could make you shake and make you doubt yourself... but Claudia was stone cold & took the win.

The look in her eye proves this sport is for everyone. It proves no one should fear signing up for a tournament, your potential is the only thing that should scare you.

To get our members prepared, we've collaborated with The Widowmakers Axe Throwing Melee Team to teach a clinic that is a combination of IN PERSON in Pennsylvania, AND ONLINE for audience questions.

🎯So many badass women showed up and were complete savages. Congrats to each and everyone of you!!!
🫦There was the first EVER all women Melee Team Femme Fatales and they f'in killed it
🥇Congrats to Fran Lopez taking Top Placing Woman at the Tournament
🥰 We also got to help very quickly organize an amazing gift to an absolutely amazing soul Janel Boden from Axe of Faith. Janel shared some terminal news on her health to a group of us and as a true testament to this community we rallied. Thanks to so many amazing donations from so many people and organizations we were able to present Janel with a backpack filled with so many terrific gifts. Thank you to AngryJacks, Women's Axe Council, 81 Axes, Section 715 Throwing Co, Mike Morton, J&L Design, Throw it Forward for all the donations from anyone I missed and to the Pro League Series (Kyle, Lucas and Tyler) for covering a whole league season for Janel to throw.
